Alfred had chosen Latin as one of his electives... Why. Why. He was reading the texts and already having trouble. So he figured he'd stop by the library and see if they had any helpful resources... But this place was huge and he had no clue how it was organized. Where was the librarian, ah yes he saw a large desk nearby that had to be it. He rushed over. A distinctly panicked look on his face.

((I was not prepared for this OAO ))
Hearing hurried foot steps getting ever closer to his large mahogany desk, Gupta decided it would be a good idea to look up. What, or rather, WHO he saw was a rather worried Alfred F. Jones striding towards him. Gupta set his journal aside and stood up, going over to a very over burdened cart stacked high with books of various genres. Setting another book onto the stack he paused to look over at the fretting teenager ((not sure how old you are)).
"Ah... Mr. Jones, what may I help you with? You seem rather troubled."
'He looks like he might scream and pull his hair out in a fit of frustration...'

Alfred was only seventeen, having skipped a grade in high school... He was already pulling at his hair a bit. "Yeah Uhm... How do I say this. Latin is... A lot harder than I'd anticipated..." He'd never tried to learn a foreign language before besides a bit of French he'd learned from a pen pal up in Canada. And even then learning those tiny bits of French had been exceedingly difficult for him.

Gupta understood why Alfred was stressed now; he was starting to think he had bitten of more than he could chew by starting to learn Latin.
“It is perfectly alright to be worried about that, Mr. Jones.”
He started to pluck through the stack of books in front of him, suddenly remembering something
“Now you have a English to Latin Dictionary, Na’am /yes/? That would help much; also, have you perhaps thought to look for programs to help you study? I know that some of the computers in the Lab have language soft-wares on them; I know the program on them works because I used the same program to learn English.”
Finding what he was looking for, Gupta carefully pulled a medium sized English to Latin dictionary from the pile of books.
“I knew one was to be in there somewhere...” He turned and handed it to Alfred with a soft smile.
((I like to think that Gupta traveled to America when he was young , or his mother traveled to America and he learned English with his younger brother later while growing up...))

"Cool. Thanks dude, you're a lifesaver." Well someone was happy. He had his own small English to Latin dictionary but it wasn't very clear on things... So having a more precise one might help. And oh good he loved computers and was very good with them, the computer programs would probably help too. But for now he found a nearby seat and started to read the dictionary through.
(That's a neat headcanon I like it.)

"La moshkelah /No problem/... and Bettawfeeq /good luck/ with your studies, Mr. Jones."
Gupta watched as Alfred walked over to a near by table, sat down and began to read.
Gupta pushed the cart over to where the teenager was, stopping momentarily.
"Oh and Mr. Jones? If you require any more assistance, do not hesitate to search me out. On occasion you will not locate me at my desk because I will naturally be placing books back on shelves or cleaning up the Lab over there."
Gupta pointed over to a set of glass double doors. Through the doors was the Computer Lab; small wooded cubicles separated each computer, creating a small work space for a person to use.
"I will return momentarily... I need to start re-shelving these books."
With that he gently pushed the cart down the rows of book shelves.
